Tequesta Website

Tequesta is a village in Palm Beach County, Florida, with a population of almost 6,000. The village was incorporated in 1957 and named after the ancient Tequesta Indians because developer Charles Martin discovered an Indian burial mound during construction. Rich in history, this area has grown into a wonderful small community that encourages outdoor activities throughout its parks, sports activities, and residential areas along the waterways.

Tequesta has six different shorelines because the city is on three different peninsulas in the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Loxahatchee River. The town offers a wide mixture of family residential neighborhoods, condos and upscale waterfront communities that attract young families, professionals, retirees and seasonal residents.
